Deadline ends for withdrawal of candidature for 3rd phase of Bihar Assembly elections

In Bihar, the deadline for withdrawal of candidature in 78 assembly constituencies for the THIRD phase of elections ended today. 

The polling will be held on 7th NOVEMBER for this phase.
 
The CEO office said the compilation of information regarding candidature withdrawal is underway. 1249 nominations have been found valid for the third phase.
 
For the VALMIKI NAGAR Lok Sabha constituency bye-poll Seven candidates are left in the fray. 

Out of seven nominations not any nominee withdrew their papers. 

The polling on this parliamentary seat bye-poll will be held simultaneously with the THIRD phase of assembly elections. The polling was necessitated due to demise of JD(U) MP Baidyanath Prasad Mahato. 

Meanwhile, the RJD expelled its sitting MLA and party rebel Rajesh Kumar from the party for 6 years. 

He was denied a ticket from his present constituency Kesaria. 

The MLA is contesting as independent candidate  from Kesaria seat against the authorized nominee of RJD Santosh Kushwaha.
